This was the first race all year we weren't fired off at least once at the start so in that sense you might say things were different and drivers had listened.

However from my observation this was just down to luck and sure enough come the final one of the worst offenders all year who has probably rammed everyone at some time confirmed he had no intention of listening to the chairman's request for improved driving standards and took out the driver lying 3rd in the Junior MAX club championship.

But all credit to the officials who actually for once where true to their word at drivers briefing and gave the offender a black flag. The first one I have seen in seven years of karting.

So yes improvement but one swallow doesn't make a summer. We need this approach at every meeting.
