I have problems starting mine, 1 in 30 times it starts on the electric start.
Mostly I have to pump the primer over 100 times, open the panel on the side and keep the choke open while I pull start it. Usually goes like that in two or three pulls.
Other than that, the spectacular sparks and sizzling display from the front end of the generator was diagnosed by someone who sells them as the inverter board. The guy from Hyundai Generator Service said much the same.
