Reality is if you can't afford £35k for a seasons kart racing then your not getting to Formula 1 anyway.
Theres no point in putting on a champ for club level competitors who don't have two quid to rub together as they'll never be able to afford Formula Ford, let alone Renault, F3 or F1.
This way they'll more than likely find talent, but also talent with money which is what they're after if they want to progress them further up the racing ladder. Club level karting shouldn't have anything to do with F1 anyway so I for one like the fact it's separated. Keep the rich kids desperately aiming for F1 in FKS completely separate from the father/son karting enthusiasts!
