As much as I wish Caroline Hoy well and every success with her ventures this is clearly not at a price that is going to attract "new talent".
I suspect their target market is people/team drivers who are already spending £75-150k p.a. on karting and they want to capture a slice of this money.
I had heard this was coming and is to have a single make chassis and pooled X30 engines.
If Bernie/F1 is behind it then why don't they organise a series of qualifying races with the pooled equipment they propose for a reasonable fee say £1k.
No teams, no team mechanics just lads and Dads with their technical assistance. Then the qualifying drivers get to run in the championship but with F1 money supporting it.
