I must admit I am also trying to find out the same for our 2012 P1 honda cadet chassis, from what I can see its got a standard axle but I would be interested to know if anyone has used a hard axle to any great effect??.......the set-up guides I have found for senior karts (Arrow etc) imply a harder axle will hive more rear grip and contribute to the inside rear wheel actually lifting, and generally work the rear tyres harder, all of which sounds good to me, as our rear tyres could clean themselves better.
But then I'm thinking its a lot less aggro to just install a pair of longer rear hubs, so thats what I have done, standard P1 items are 66mm long, I have a set of mediums length rear hubs which are 100mm long and will give that a try next weekend.
