Starts are far slower and far more bunched up than in the past. Starts are regularly sent round again and often the front row will be put to the back.
I've already explained to Itpro why he is wrong about standing starts not helping and we have evidence for this from years of standing starts at Bayford Meadows, standing starts at Rowrah S1 and standing starts for the Minimax's at PF.
I've also explained why loading is still a problem even when you're still accelerating through the first corner, such as at PF, and this is evidenced every race meeting with crashes at the start (which didn't happen with a standing start).
In summary, I have not only provided logical reasoning for my position, I have also provided evidence. It's up to you whether you agree with this and the overwhelmingly positive response from those who trialled standing starts, or you agree with Itpro. In the end it will make very little difference and the powers that be will do as they please. Whilst I wouldn't support standing starts (rolling starts are my preference) it is nonsensical to suggest that they are less safe, despite all evidence to the contrary.
