0.5 mm is somewhere around where I think about straightening them. My logic being that if I try to keep the chassis free of twist to within about 0.5 mm, having an axle out of true by more than this not only defeats the object of keeping the chassis straight, but if there is an effect in corner grip it will oscillate.

New axles that I have measured are true to within 0.1 mm, so I aim for better than that when straightening them.
