You're right about what the American oval LTO (left turn only) racers do but 'stagger' is deliberately running a larger circumference right rear tyre to make the kart want to turn left - even when you're trying to go straight ! They also deliberately run more left side weight and cross weight (RF & LR), which is what you've mentioned. Maybe I won't worry too much then, but I had the corner weight scales kicking around from racing cars and couldn't resist putting the kart on them out of interest. I understand how small any movement of the driver, or steering, needs to be in order to drastically change the scale readings but my theory is that if the kart is imbalanced statically, then it'll still be imbalanced dynamically e.g. if I've got too much right side weight and then I lean right, then I've got even more right side weight !
