So, are you saying that the Max series would be run as part of the normal club grid? If not, then you are effectively adding an extra class to the meeting. Why should drivers competing for a club championship be told they can not race at that meeting just because there are high entries for the Max series? Surely the regular club members should get the priority! Would this series bring in new drivers to the sport? If it does not take drivers from S1 then perhaps it would take them from the club championships - perhaps the ABKC/MSA felt they should try and protect clubs? What support was there from the ABKC for the series? What is to stop you having an unofficial max series - charge a small entrance fee - decide which club meetings will be part of the series and then just make up you own points table based on where each driver finishes compared to the other entrants. Buy a few trophies and have a presentation somewhere.
