First, apologies to Hi 99 for repeating his suggestion, must 'keep up' . To Itpro seems like a very reasonable response from a reasonable and highly knowledgable guy. Unfortunately it is somewhat atypical. I would comment on 1 &2 . T he term 'release' is only vague, meaningless . or useless until it is 'defined' I gave my definition in my secoond post. It is the only definition appearing in this thread! Yes' 'release as defined is the same as 'getting rid of understeer' in the same way as 'having terminal cancer' is the same as'dying' 'release, or lack of it is the cause' understeer is the effect. You are the world's leading expert on , push starting a dd, positioning the seat, driving a kart round Rye House etc . and we all respect you for that but when you venture into areas of hard engineering you descend into ' estate agent speak' as exemplified by your first post in this thread.
