Having read all the comments (and agree with 99% of them) i feel i need to stick my 2 penneth in, having only been in it for a short time me and the wife never had the illusion of our son being the next big thing (if he is.. great!) we did it to have a hobby the whole family could enjoy (which we do) and to give our son the opportunity to have fun and maybe get a career of some sort in motorsport. We joined a team from the start and time has been spent making the team cadets better drivers by way of improving there driving skills and never once have they been told to do anything that may been seen as dangerous. Fortunatly non of them have been in any serious incidents and they are all in the mix with the front runners, yes contact does happen, it's bound to, but we (as parents) and the team have installed into the young uns that if you make a mistake and cause and end to someone's race appology is the first thing. In short parents/teams are the one's the kids look up to and listen to so it is down to the so called adult to install good pratice in to there drivers.
