Of course, if one adjusts the engine to the furthest limit of the fiche, one ends up with the equivalent of the F1 "qualifying engine". It's good for winning that vital final, but any wear will take it outside fiche. Even F1 found this to be unsustainable.

One has to remember too that in one very well publicised instance, it was found that F1 types of money had been spent on re-engineering a sealed engine, some people will spend very large sums.
