Rye House in thr sixtys and seventies as Alan says,vevy silencers,no air boxes,no plastic,side nerf bars.no contact(well not much).Air cooled 100cc pulling 18000rev down the strait into stadium (some claimed 20/22000 we were never that brave).Entries of 230-260 at a club meeting and we all got in with room to spare.
Global Cup international meetings,timed practice one lap ouy one lap timed one lap in.two karts on the track at the same timm.Murry Walker commentating.

Doug Jest held the lease,we had the old workshop at the side of the track where we built the early ZIP karts,T45 tube nickle bronze welded gas fluxed.The workshop and track flooded at sometime every winter.

ZIP took over the workshop from us and Reg Paul and Shaun after that.Really sorry to hear about Paul.

We had fun but you cannot put the clock back. Karting has changed, you can argue about which era was the best and not agree.

Unfortunatley I will not be there as I have just had a corneal transplant in my right eye and am not allowed uot for five weeks Cant drive one eye.
This only confirms what all drivers know, scrutineers are blind (as are CofC
