Doesn't look like the uni ball bearing is available as spare part but I'm doing exactly what you suggest and bought a track rod end for Ł3 and will cut it open.
Hopefully it'll work as buying a new camber adjuster is pretty expensive and will be easy to repair in the future at a track. I'll let you know how I get on when the bits arrive.
