Did this event at the weekend. Horrible horrible horrible. So unprofessional, more like a banger race than karting. No control AT ALL, I am amazed no one was hurt. I guess a lot of the drivers don't know what they are doing, it was like a demolition derby, this lot made Super 1 drivers look meek and mild in comparison. Deliberate ramming, barging, pushing, blocking etc etc. God knows what the marshal's were doing because it appeared anything was allowed. Then there was the question of kart number 24. Twice as fast as anything else on the track, set fastest laps all day. Taken off after numerous protests but re-appeared for the last heat and the final. Some chosen schools had the kart more than once others didn't get a look in. Complaints were met with total disdain and then aggression. I can see why they only allow one MSA driver per team if there were more it would be less of a free for all. My son will never enter the school team again, he said it was disgraceful and should be recorded for training purposes to show what is unacceptable behaviour on a race track. Unless you're into demolition derby of course.
Disgraceful and the organisers should be ashamed.
