Nick,
Saying "The only thing to have come to light from these events is that neither party could organise a pizz up in a brewery." seems rather a daft comment.
Steve, Rita (and others) have run a very successful club for many years allowing us to have some great racing.
The track owners have also run a successful business with corporate events covering corpoate karting, clay shooting, quad bikes etc. They also hire the track to other users for bike raing and karting outside of WMKC.
Hardly the actions of people who are incompetent!
Around the country there are several clubs which hire use of the track for MSA racing and very few (if any)of the people who run those clubs do it for the financial reward. Just like the marshals and officials, they do it for little more than basic expenses.
If everyone involved in running a club meeting was paid at even the minimum wage then the cost of karting would be far higher than it is now.
