For super cadet there was a choice of engine so this is not the same.
I think the biggest problem with super Cadet was that there was no one with sufficient vested interest to promote the series.
There was a perceived need for an intermediate class but who wants to be the first to buy a new medium size chassis and a new engine? A cadet chassis will take any cadet engine and then you move to a full size chassis that caters for juniors and seniors - so a ready used market.
You needed an incentive to make the 11/12/13 age group move to super cadets at the age when they were most likely to do well in comers and the official british championship - it was not there!
