As the dad of a cadet that packed it in after 6 months also think about the following

1. Commitment from family (wife especially)
2. Practice in the wet/rain as much as you can
3. Make sure that your son is ready to race before entering a race.
4. Always listen to your son on how he is feeling about being on the track - they are only young - not adults

As for chassis - wrights are good
