Was thinking with what seems to be carnage after nearly every start

why dont karts do standing starts?

OK DD cannot but a very % of karts now have clutches

A standing start would see:

Jump / out of position starts much easier to see (stop all the protests and crap that go's with it)

Safter as lower entry into first corner at most tracks (safer)

Better as you could 'ace' a start and gain (as other formula)

Just thinking about how many times the karts have to go around again because its to fast, karts out of position etc etc

Whats your thoughts?
