It's basically Q14.4.2 from the MSA regs:
"14.4.2. Overtaking, according to the circumstances, may be carried out either on the right or on the left. However, manoeuvres liable to hinder other drivers, such as more than one change of direction to defend a position, deliberate crowding of a car beyond the edge of the track or any other abnormal change of direction, are strictly prohibited. Any driver who appears guilty of any of the above offences may be reported to the Clerk of Course." This is NOT applicable reg in karting. This reg is only for cars on circuit where you have many less vehicles on track heading into the same space. Problem is as mechanics and parents we are watching "our own" and the CoC's and marshals have to watch 34 karts hurtling into one corner so that re effectively in karting does not exist as it would be impossible to police.
