Looking at the bigger picture the world has changed in the last 20 years. In the 90’s, FA/ICA/JICA etc was popular but parents had good job security, cheaper houses, good pensions and it was free to send your children to university so more cash was free to go kart racing.

Now parents are faced with a 27k bill to send each child to university, job security is poor, houses are expensive and your children will need help to get on the housing ladder – probably 20k deposit (especially as kids cannot get good jobs after university). So all this leads to parents and graduates not wanting to waste money going kart racing. Yes some rich kids will still race but the large majority cannot afford. This is my take on it.
