Most cadet dads/mechanics have a heat gun, I'm sure they only use them to stick sticker kits and numbers on the kart, dry wet drivers kit and warm drivers gloves in cold weather.

Its not conceivable these heat guns are used on tyres at all or the clubs officials / scrutineers would have excluded at least one driver over the years. We all know all the MSA rules are rigorously enforsed by all clubs, particulary with such rules which gives a massive performance advantage.

Lets just trust our clubs to enforce these rules in the way they should be.
