I have read most of the post on this topic, we haven't cleaned our tyres for a year now as the Mojo rubber that is put down is total different from the previous rubber.

More importantly I would play with the kart setup and make sure the driver uses the correct line and gives good feedback and use that nice sticky rubber to your advantage.

You could also swop tyres from left to right to reduce al little build up if they do go off line.
