We tried many types of rim, alloy, half mag, full mag, low volume. When we looked at the laptimes over many tests. The Gold full mag rims provided a consistent lap time over the longer races used in S1, and also didn't take too long to come on. Can't tell you why, just tested to get the best rim. When it was colder, found the douglas half mags, came on a little quicker.

The Gold rims are very similar to the gold rims used by OTK, they use them in the same way.

But as I said, if you are going to invest in a new set of rims this is what I would recommend.
