Following recent events with 1st corner/lap incidents on cold tyres I asked Brian Lord, Bruce & Mr Potter ( officials at GYG today ) if there was any chance of having TWO rolling laps for the Rotax classes to allow a little more heat to be generated thus helping with grip from the start....

Brian asked why, I duly explained the Shennington incident last month and how it was felt TWO rolling laps " seem " to help with a reduction in incidents from initial start ( PFi adopt this already and have had no problems in running time EVEN when they entertain 260 entrants + as they did at the last meeting )

Brian Lord & Co agreed it seemed a good idea and agreed to run the option.

Well done, forward thinking, receptive to the idea & hopefully it proved to be mainly successful.

Wouldnt it be good if ALL clubs could adopt this approach.
