With HOOTON PK ,GYG and MBKC allowing MSA Honda cadets next year,is there any necessity for as most cadet Honda karts, the engine to be on the left hand side of the chassis. Is this out of convenience in order to quickly change gearing and access to the clutch and drive train,or is it a handling specific reason. Reason for the enquiry is that most Honda/Comer cadet chassis, Zip, Wright etc are approx £1500-£1650 for a chassis without tyres and a seat. JKH are selling JKH Cobalt (Intrepid Macky)rolling chassis with Dunlop slicks, fitted with a new RPM tuned (to MSA regs)GX160,but these are fitted to r.h side, brake on the left and centre tank for £1550. This seems a cracking price compared with Comer engined cadets, especially W60 Comer has only one year left before changes in engine supplier and possibly requiring a different chassis as well. However the Cobalt chassis is designed for a Comer W60 origionally so fitted with a Honda is somewhat of an unknown, has anyone any experience even with a Macky Honda. Does Honda coming into the North West seem like a good idea as they are cost effective with the MSA spec engines available from the likes of RPM at around £400.
Thanks
