After the theft of all our equipment the week before round3 at Ellough Park I have been amazed at the kindness of my fellow karters. We managed to borrow enough gear to attend the the meeting and managed 12th place and keep our championship hopes alive.
Thanks must go to Colin Whittaker for many parts including an engine, Tim Dray for the loan of a Tony chassis, Jason & Tommy Turner for their practice engine which was our race engine,Niel at Walker Racing for an Engine, Mick Whitton for an Alfano, "frag" Baines for set up help with the Tony chassis,Thomas Day's dad for the offer of a chassis and everyone else for their encouragement and sympathy.
Last of all my special thanks go to my son Daniel for not giving up under such difficult circumstances & accepting things for what they were.
The long job of replacing everything now begins and we are looking forward to round 4 at Buckmore park, this will be our first race off novice plates so a big effort will be needed.
Anyone seeing an Arrow/WTP turn up at their track or offered for sale please phone me (01405 785685) and I can provide unique identification features which could hopefully get my son's equipment back.
