We have a heated Ultrasonic cleaner, tried it and continue to use it, however I prefer to use the tin of carb cleaner per 20+ carbs. This gave me a better more reliable clean carb.
There are quite a few variables with the cleaning of carbs with the ultrasonic cleaner.
The heat needs to be on.
A recommended detergent/soap is required.
You need to remove the item the moment the cycle has finished.
Do not clean the gaskets and diaphram.
Nor the needle, but only if it has the teflon tip
And we found you need to rinse the carb off with hot clean water as soon as lifted out.Then leave to dry for 24 hours or stick it in the oven when she is not lookin for an hour.

The only reason we continue to use the sonic cleaner is to stay away from the chemicals that the carb cleaner emits. I imagine they are a tad worse than the chemicals used as detergents in the sonic cleaner.
