The race organisers in Europe as I know it only use one batch of tyres for parc ferme, to avoid any problems like this, as tyre age and storage conditions affects the speed of the tyre as you will know.

Its important the traders keep them (not cold and out of sunlight when storing) so never buy tyres from somebody who stores them in view of a window or a cold trailer all the time, as the temp change each day is massive and slowly hardens the tyres
