Most setup is done with driver out (in a kart) however its good to have an understanding of the effects of the driver on the chassis .

different weight drivers affect the chassis in different ways , try it , you'll be surprised at the effects .

We have never set up a racecar with the driver out ,flatfloor work always gets done with the drivers weight in the seat .

most people who give you settings or at least baselines will refer to static unloaded figures (eg kart on a stand) and this is why what works for one driver will not always work for another , due to height/weight variances
