Hi-running Formula Blue and today, for the second time in about 3 hours running time the front sprocket has worn out. Bit of a pain as didn't have spare but more concerned about what's causing it.

Is this usual or is somthing causing this? I had checked chain this morning and there was about 1cm play in it, which I thought was about right and chain was aligned okay.
