What they all say is correct.
One extra point is that you can get very close to the mark if your local circuit has the race scales out on Saturday and the ground around them is flat like at Shenny. Not perfect but very close.

Your chassis manufacturer should give you a base % to start with.

1/ Driver seated
2/ Front wheels on scales = front weight
3/ Rear wheels on scales = Rear weight
4/ All on scales = total weight
5/ That gives you enough to get your front to rear percentage.

Now do side to side the same way.

Remember it's better on the stop watch to have a comfortable driver even if you have to give up the odd percentage point.
