Hi all,
I plan to be entering the club100 60 minute challenge from round two onwards. I fall around 20kg below the weight limit so need lead ballast to bring me to that limit. My thinking so far is: My team mate would run first with around 8 kilos of lead on the kart weight posts. I would then put my weighted seat insert in with 12kg attached when it comes to my "stint" (so totalling 20kg)
My question is: say if I have a standard seat insert such as this: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Karting/Kart_Parts/Seats_&_Accessories/Caliba_Seat_Insert/1841/0/98233
and the following type of lead weight: http://www.kkckartshop.co.uk/pc/showsearchresults.asp?idcategory=76&customfield=&SearchValues=&priceFrom=&priceUntil=&withstock=&sku=&IDBrand=&keyWord=lead&exact=&resultCnt=999&order=&iPageCurrent=1&pageStyle=P
Is there anyway that I could affix the lead "blocks" safely??
I have looked into lead roll but it works out so much more expensive for the amount I require. How would I go about safey attaching the "blocks" to the seat insert? Would layers and layers of duck tape work?
Sorry for all the questions! I know im probably looking into this too deeply but I just want to make sure i can attach it properly etc!
Thanks in advance Liam
