Is it legal for MSA racing?

I have an otherwise hardly worn nosecone (no holes, rough edges, dents etc) but a couple of the plastic rivots have failed so I've simply drilled a couple of holes into the main nosecone body and run some strong cable ties through it and the central quick release moulding - seems to be a very strong repair and arguably better than the damned rivots that seem to fail frequently anyway.

But, would this be deemed a legal repair at scrutineering?

Any guidance appreciated...
