I find it strange that there is so much resistance to even a proper discussion over Pool engines. I haven't heard one good argument against such a system if it was done properly.
It's obvious that the engines need to be as equal as possible, with ststems in place to guarantee this, and that such a system would only work for a national championship, but has anyone else actually experienced the use of such a system, to reject it so easily?
It seems to me that at the moment there is a risk of throwing the baby out with the bath water. My impression and experience is that most things actually work very well at club level. It is only the high level National championships and their influence, especially on overall engine prices that are a problem.
