Sounds as though you have done all the important things. It's worth renewing the coolant yearly so fresh 50/50 antifreeze/deionised water will be good for the engine. Antifreeze is there to protect against corrosion as well.

No real need to do the WD40 trick if the engine has run recently as there will still be a film of oil on the bores [a stickier film and longer lasting than WD40]. Leaving the piston at TDC is a good idea as this will protect the bore and also ensure that the piston ring is evenly loaded and not "released" into a port.
