I sure there are many other karters like you that have seen good service from brakes. That does not mean that everything is all OK. In 1965 Ralph Nadar wrote the book "Unsafe at any speed". Most of the owners of the unsafe cars identified also had no problems.

The CIK rules are deeply flawed because they allow poor quality, unsafe, untested, unreliable brakes to be used on karts. The extremely loose CIK rules on brakes allow manufacturers to sell products that would be illegal in other applications. Fixing the rules will help fix the problem.
