Put your calliper (caliper) together with the correct grease and it should not suffer with galling. If used in the wet, make sure the kart is not put away and stored wet. Use brake cleaner to flush the exposed piston surface before you retract them to insert new pads as the dust can become corrosive if allowed to penetrate between the piston and calliper. Do not store the kart in a vertical plane as it can introduce air into the system.It is a case of correct maintenance not a change of regulations that is needed.
