I see we have another new class for the UK karting scene to digest. Rather than supporting the biggest classes in the UK that's providing many clubs with stability over the last several years the powers at be appear to want yet another class to fragment the scene.
If it was something new that addressed the problems with karting at the moment, like drastically reducing costs, then I could see why it would be sanctioned. But it just appears to be just another £2000 125cc TaG engine that doesn't do anything that other engines don't do already.
My son has recently taken an interest in motorsport and I think we'll be going along to some motocross events because karting is just becoming one big mess. I've loved my Rotax over the years but looks as if I am going to have to eBay it. Leaving this whole charade seems the only way anyone will actually learn!
