You're right that the national Aixro series would still be cheaper than car racing but the main reason behind giving up the car is to do something that doesn't take up as much time and unfortuantely a weekend away at a kart track is just the same as a weekend away at a car circuit. I live in the South East so your Lydd rounds are great for me but all the others are quite a journey. F6 is perfect but their 'Open' class doesn't allow front brakes and has a 30bhp cap on it :-(
