Yes. I can provide you with the rules for producing grids (inc. 3 from 4).

I have also developed a simple to use series of utilities, for LKRC (Fulbeck) and SYKC (Wombwell) clubs, that allow you to:
Define up to 24 different classes with, if necessary, different Max Grid Sizes.
Add Race Entries (with predictive text on Driver Name, Town, Chassis Type, Club) to make life easier for input).
Create Grids (takes about 2 seconds)
Specify order of heats (including ability for mixed classes within a heat. e.g Comer and WTP)
Construct programme details e.g. Personnel / Officials
Report on Non-Payers
(The above is processed via a web browser.)

There is an Excel spreadsheet for Programme production, which interfaces, via ODBC, to a back-end Multivalue database.
In a similar way, I use Word to extract the relevant data to produce the Competitor Signing On sheets.

Both LKRC and SYKC use HS Sports Timing system.
I am now looking into developing an interface that will create the Race details automatically for the Timing system.
