Alfano Mag sensor lead

Don't ask how, but I've managed to totally rip the lead of the magnetic sensor from the plug (coil surround and all)

This is the Pro V2 version (The one that requires the alfano screwdriver)

As far as i can tell, the plug is a sealed unit and there seems to be no way of cutting the cable back and refitting it to the plug?

Anyone know of a way or do I now have to buy a new sensor/cable/plug assembly?

I think this is a bit of a design flaw over the last version with its coaxial style plugs if it's the case. If you break one bit of the new one you have to replace the whole lot.
