Shame neither of you could make it, would have been good to put a face to the names. The weather was certainly interesting, and as it dried out the kart just came into it's own and blew me away, I couldn't brake late enough as I underestimated how quickly the thing could stop, and when on full throttle it just pulled like a rocket ship.
We were doing over 70mph into Stadium even in the wet, having to crawl around the final turn on almost slick rear tyres, and having to lift through the river flowing across the track just before the start/finish line. And at that speed the motor felt like it was accelerating even quicker than ever! Even in the damp we were lapping as quick as the Rotax's were last Sunday! Just fantastic.
Ian your right about the smoothness, it is a strange sort of no fuss / lots of torque kind of power that almost makes it seem effortless from the engine. It ran without a fault all day as well, can't remember a time my old Rotax did that!
I'll be posting the onboard footage up when I get it back so everyone can have a chuckle, you'll probably hear me screaming all the way down the straight over the engine!!
