Its actually not that stupid, but I dont think it was meant as a serious suggestion! Something does need to be done, but you are never going to please all the people all of the time.

My view is the simplest way is to remove the bodywork altogether and go to small rear bumpers again. You only have to watch the older videos and compare them to the new ones and see the difference... but thinking about it, maybe its something else, watching the videos of lewis coming through the field in JICA at Buckmore and various other races like that you dont see the contact but you still see the overtakes.

Unfortunately if the COC's get tough on it it will take a long time for peoples attitudes to change and it would have to be a countrywide thing, its probably a combination of bodywork, drivers being taught to push or be pushed at the starts, and too much pressure from parents. I see one kid getting a right pasting from his dad at kimbolton, being sworn at and all sorts, and it was only the practice day!!!
