The edit for the 3rd round at Whilton Mill is now completed and available as a quicktime H.264 file for your iphone/website/computer. Send your usb stick including a stamped addressed jiffy bag to me for your copy. The standard definition DVD's will be given out at the next round, and the HD version is also available at £12.
Incidents include: Minimax karts 31 and 50, Minimax karts 11 and 51, Minimax karts 51 and 11 after the cheq. flag, Jnr Rotax karts GP and 57, Jnr Rotax kart 30 after the cheq flag, Rotax Max karts 1 and 13, karts 15, 13 and 37, karts 29 and 21, and karts 74 and 6 in final corner (from onboard only). Some fantastic racing, and even Danny Russell gets a mention this time!
I have included a new result graphic which appears during each race showing the earlier heat results, including the top 3 in each heat and the driver with the fastest lap. Helps to give those drivers who had a top 3 result in a heat a bit of extra exposure.
I have had some recent discussions and been assured by Motors TV that the audio issues in the first three programmes should be rectified this time when the programme airs. They seem to have been playing both the international AND UK audio tracks in the UK broadcast which has caused distortion and level issues. We should shortly be able to upload each programme via FTP to their server directly, and I'm told that should cure the visual bandwidth artefacts in the broadcast programme, which clearly does not compare to the quality of the video image on the HD and standard def DVD. I'm not sure when this will happen, but we will definitely be able to upload via this method for the next TKM round.
Following some comments about the result graphics, I have made some changes to the final result graphic, retaining the 3d movement between the result and points graphics, but stilling the image to stop the slight jitter of the text when it was slowly turning in 3d space. This was not a problem with the HD or DVD version, but was when broadcast. I think the next broadcast is a week on Monday at 8.10pm.
