Hope these help... others may have additional comments etc...
Dry starting point : o Kart square [i.e. 0 toe-in/toe-out] o No camber. o To increase grip at the front, put a very small amount of toe out. o If bogging down in corners, apply some extra castor - to raise the inside rear. o Set the rear width at 139cm o Vega tyre pressures should vary from 8psi in very warm weather to 13psi in colder weather. Between 10psi and 12psi in race conditions. Same pressures all round. Note... I run in/around 15psi at Rye House because the surface is non-abrasive, so I wouldn't pay much attention to the standard pressure recommendations and instead play around with them myself. o Use a 'medium' axle. o Seat position - I'm 78Kg and 175cm tall and I've positioned the seat so that the top tip of the back is 19cm from the top of the axle. I've noticed that the kart handling is very sensitive to the position of the seat... so if you find the kart 'hopping' through fast corners or struggling to bed down properly at the rear, consider the position of the seat before you spend time on other things. It really will make a big difference if its not right. o Remove the torsion bars front and rear.
Wet starting point. o Raise the ride height. o Fix 6mm of toe out. o Increase the front width to the maximum it will go. o Decrease the rear width to the minimum it will go.
