Bigjim1978 the worry after hearing your comments may also be the consistancy between sets. We were both in the same race on the same chassis type (I think), yet the set of new type tyres we had were the same pace as the old type. However they did need a totally diffrent set up to achive it without over heating them.

I think the final winner was on the new type also, while second place (and fastest lap) went to the old.

Time will tell i guess.
