I think the point being made here is that part of the promotion for having TV was that coverage would be shown to the 17.7 million Europewide. That figure would of course grab the attention of all competitors and potential sponsors alike. Whilst 9.7 million is a good number, its fairly unlikely that karting will attract that many viewers, they'll be lucky to hit 25% of that.

Interesting to see that Ben Consty's original post was deleted, yet there has been no official word from Super 1 about it!?!
