As GrahamS said, this proposal came from the ABkC who in theory represent their member clubs and, in turn, the club members - you the customer.
When the ABkC newsletter was published, club members could have expressed their views to their club officials and if there was strong opposition then clubs could have raised it at the next ABkC meeting.
Customers still can have their say - attend the next club AGM and propose that they do not include this class in their meetings. If PF is the only club offering races then the class may never get off the ground.
The alternative is for `customers' to do nothing and see what the sport looks like in 2/4 years time.
