when you tipped the engine up and allowed the oil to enter the rockerbox, via the pushrod channels it did not necessarily enter the cylinder exhaust and carburettor.

It all depends if either valve was open at the time.
If the valve was open then the oil would still have to travel down the valve stem to enter the cylinder/carb/exhaust.

If you take the spark plug out and shine a torch down inside you should see if any oil is present.

Take exhaust off and check for oil.
Take air filter off, move carb forward on studs and check for oil.(if oil is at carb then a strip and clean will be necessary).

If there is oil then expect to foul a plug or two, and fill the garage with smoke, as you burn off the oil.

If the valves were shut and the oil did not seep down the valve stems then it should drain back down into the crankcase when the engine is placed in a normal position.

Another clue is the oil level. If you know where you filled it to then just check it after a few hours of the engine being sat in a normal position of both oil filler plug holes being level.
